For the launch of the new Bentley Continental GT, Drive Productions chose d3 for the showroom tour.

The 17 date tour of showrooms in the UK was setup and configured in each different location in a couple of hours each day by freelance d3 operator Icarus Wilson-Wright.

An exact 3d model of a Bentley car was imported into d3 whereupon a 4k movie was perfectly mapped onto the car inside d3. With d3's new beta feature 'Projector Simulation', 3 virtual projectors (cameras) were placed out in d3 with corresponding paramaters such as position, lens ratio, aspect ratio etc, as the physical projectors. Whatever each virtual projector 'views' in d3 acts as the video output to the HD projectors at 60 frames a second.

Further layers of keystoning, mesh-deformation and an arbitrary number of deformation points can be added to the initial output generated by d3's Projector Simulation feature giving pre-visualsation and output in one package.
